Don and Phil Everly, born in Kentucky in 1937 and 1939 respectively went on to become one the most successful and well respected vocal harmony groups of all time. Influenced by both Country and Rock & Roll the brothers were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 and the Country music hall of Fame in 2001. With massive hits including Bye Bye Love, Wake Up little Susie , Love Hurts and Cathys Clown and band developed a massive following both in the States and the UK. The brothers were not only loved by the fans but also revered by fellow artists, Keith Richards called Don Everly one of the finest rhythm players and the pair both worked with Paul Simon on Gracelands. The brothers split up in 1973 but reformed to great fanfare in 1983 at which point they performed at the now classic reunion concert at Londons Royal Albert Hall.
